About the Redevelopment Plan

The Inspiring Spring Mountain Redevelopment Plan is a community-driven roadmap for the future of Las Vegas Chinatown and the Spring Mountain Corridor. Developed through extensive, multilingual engagement with residents, small businesses, property owners, and cultural leaders, the Plan guides long-term investment to ensure the corridor remains safe, walkable, culturally vibrant, and economically resilient. It balances growth with preservation—strengthening the district’s unique Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander heritage while supporting the people and businesses that make Chinatown thrive.

The Plan’s goals focus on improving mobility and pedestrian safety; strengthening small business and economic vitality; celebrating arts, culture, and community identity; implementing sustainable and climate-resilient infrastructure; creating safe and welcoming public spaces; boosting tourism and destination branding; and expanding housing options through thoughtful, community-centered redevelopment. Together, these goals provide a clear framework for coordinated action—aligning public investment, private development, and community stewardship to shape a Chinatown that honors its history while preparing for the future.
